Bliss

In life we have opposition in all things. With the fall of Adam came heartache and pain, but also happiness and joy. Without the bad days and the hard trials we would not truly be able to appreciate the good times. My past two days have been a perfect example of this.
Yesterday I worked the whole day, open to close. In the course of the day, I had many difficult customers. A lady who needed her shoes stretched, but was hesitant to have them stretched because then she would not be able to return them if they didn't work. A lady who was picking up shoes that she had ordered, but they didn't work...i probably spent at least an hour bringing out different shoes and exploring other options. There was at least one little thing wrong with every shoe we tried. There was the girl with the size 12 foot that didn't like the look of any of the shoes - she was so picky that I had to send her out the door. By the end of these customers I was done with people - I didn't to see any more customers or help them. of course that is when a customer came in (20 minutes before close, and I was there alone). She tried on multiple shoes over and over again. She asked me the price of each one multiple times and then she wanted me to write down all the styles for her. I was sure to tell her that the prices were set by the vendor and that they would be the same everywhere - she was disappointed to hear this, she was totally just going to use me and then buy them online. This went on and on...not to mention, half the time she was texting someone and ignoring me. Then 35 minutes after we were supposed to close she left without buying anything and saying that they were expensive so she had to think about it. It was not the best day, I cried on the way home when the song Bad Day came on the radio.
Today however was completely opposite of yesterday. It was my day off and i got to spend it with mom! She took me to a spa and we got massages! We left around eight and went to visit some friends in Bunkerville (just around the corner from the spa we went to) first. They used to live here and I used to babysit for them. They just had their fourth baby and she is just 3 weeks old so we got to go see her. After their house, we went up to St. George (only 40 minutes from the spa) and went to Down east Outtfitters. We needed some shade shirts, I got a pair of shorts too. We also got a caramel apple from the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory! They are the best! Then we went to the spa! It was sooo relaxing! I got to sit in the sun - which i love! There is also this relaxation room which was so nice! There were pools you could swim in! Everywhere you went there was peaceful music, it was just so quiet and relaxing. The massage felt great too! It was so nice to just relax and spend some time with my mom! In order to appreciate days like this, you have to have days like yesterday as un fun as they may be.
Livin, Lovin, and Learnin!
