What Matters Most

In life we have so many distractions. We have school, work, friends and events. That is not to mention music, television, Internet, and the constant advertising that we see every day. Everybody wants our time, and everybody wants our money. Amongst all the distractions however, there is always one thing that will matter most - FAMILY.
I haves spent this weekend up in St. George with my family and with my grandparents. We came up Friday night, and it is now Sunday afternoon. It has been a great weekend! I went on a run with my sister, an then we just sat at a park and enjoyed time together. We all went on a hike, we did some shopping, went to the club house for dinner. It's not so much the things we did that matter, it's the fact that we spent time with each other. We enjoyed each others company. We talked, we listened to grandpa tell us stories about his mission over dinner, as Mitchell prepares to leave on his.

In the end, it's not the clothes that I wear (although I do like to look nice), or the car that I drive that really matter. It is the time that I have spent with my family and the relationships that have been strengthened that matter most. This weekend we lived and we loved - this is happiness : )
