Don't Get Old - Thats what they say...

So, everyday I work with older people who have problems with their feet. It is those problems that lead them to Foot Solutions, where I work. Almost every day at least one of these people tells me to not get old. The only dilemma with this advice is the fact that getting old is inevitable - we are all getting older every day. So what can I do?
As I contemplated this question on the way home from work today I came to a few simple conclusions. First, since I can't help getting old I am not going to worry abut it too much (which I don't). Second, take care of myself now!!! If I take care of myself now by exercising and striving to eat healthy (that is a work in progress - I still love my sweets a little too much)then I will still be in pretty good shape when I get a little older : ) Right now the goal is to live every day the best I can, that will be the goal when I get older too.
For some, getting old is a trial(it is for many that I work with on a daily basis)but we all have trials...you can complain and be upset by them, or you can make the best of them. Why not learn from them and make the best from them - that is why we have them after all.
I'm living and learning and I'm loving life and those around me(almost all of the time). Today my back is very sore, most likely from leaning over putting shoes on peoples feet all day, but I am young, and healthy, and if that is my biggest problem then life is really oh so good :)
