A Legacy

Two people, 5 kids, 18 grand kids, 50 years! This is what we celebrated on Thursday night as our annual family reunion came to a close. We watched slides starting with just Grandma and Grandpa 50 years ago all the way up until now. We also had each grandchild get up and say something specifically to Grandma and Grandpa. This is what I said:
"Grandma and Grandpa, I love you guys so much! Thank you for the amazing example that you are to our family! What a blessing it is to have grown up in an extended family who has the truthfulness of the gospel, thank you for the choices you have made that have made that possible! You guys are the Best! Happy 50th anniversary!

As I sat an watched the whole program that was put on for Grandma and Grandpa I felt of the incredible love that is present in our family. I saw how happy we all were and all of the happy times we have shared with each other over the years. I am so incredibly blessed to be a part of the family I am a part of! I wouldn't have it any other way! I am so grateful to be a part of this legacy! I am grateful or the examples of my grandparents and parents.

Life is oh so good! We all have trials and hard times, but when you get a chance as we did to look back on 50 years of family, and love, you realize that those are the things that really matter! It's family and the gospel that are important - always remember to cherish those things!!!

Livin, Lovin, and Leanin,
Katrina
