Living Prophet and Apostles on the Earth!

What a blessing it is to be on this earth at this time! We live in a time where there is so much temptation and so much sin, but we also live in a world where the words of the Lords living Prophet and apostles are more easily accessible to us than in any other time!
I love being here at BYU because we get the opportunity to have apostles and even the Prophet come and speak to us on occasion.

Regional Conference
Location: Marriott Center - Live!

Julie B. Beck - Sister beck talked about our life experience and how at times it is hard. In reference to this she said something that I loved; "We wanted this earthly experience and we are having one!" Another quote that helps to put things into perspective is; "We fought a war in Heaven for the privilege of having a difficult experience." Life is hard sometimes, but it is through the hard experiences that we grow and come close to or father in Heaven and become more like him. Sister Beck said that we are doing better than we think we are. She also said we are not doing as well as we could be. I hope that I can take the opportunity of each new day and each new week to find the areas in my life where I can do better and to do just that.

Jeffrey R. Holland - Jeffrey R. Holland discussed faith and encouraged us to increase our faith. Pray a little more, study a little more. The world is getting more and more wicked and the times ahead will try the best of us, but the righteous will always prevail and faith is the key.

Boyd K. Packer - Boyd K. Packer quoted another talk in saying. The easy things in the church have been done. He talked about agency. Something that he said that I absolutely loved was; "The Lord is voting for you, and Satan's voting against you, but it's your vote, it depends on you." He encouraged us to detach ourselves from anything that may be having an unworthy influence over us.

Richard G. Scott - He talked mostly about Marriage. He talked a lot about is wife and gave us a very personal look at some aspects of his life.

"Movies may be a good idea when you are married, but I think it's a stupid idea if you are dating. If you want to get to know a young girl - don't take her to the movies."

Devotional
Location: Marriot Center - Live!

Robert D. Hales - Elder Hales also talked about agency and choices he said; "Don't get a life, get an Eternal Life!" He asked the question; is your future becoming brighter each day or are the lights dimming? Using a story from his life, he counseled us not to paint ourselves into a corner were our agency was diminished.

The closer we come to the second coming the farther we will b from the world. We have been called to walk in the light. Chris had trials and hardships his entire life, when we feel that no one understands, He does!

Christ freely chose to give his life for us and it is Elder Hale prayer that we will choose to give our lives to follow Him.

Tonight was the Relief Society Broadcast which was also amazing! I am s incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have to be here on the earth at this time! I am so grateful for living prophets and apostles to show us the way, and for how easy it is for us to access their words. I am so grateful to be at BYU where I get to hear so many of them speak in person! Conference is in a week!!!! I can hardly wait. There is a living prophet one earth to day to lead us and to give us guidance! I can't wait to hear his words!
