Nativities

O.k. so know I didn't post anything about Thanksgiving. Let's just say it was great to be home! I love my family so much!

While I was home for Thanksgiving my little sister and I decided to decorate the house for Christmas. Most of our Christmas decorations are nativities that my mom has collected from all over the world. As I unpacked them one piece at a time and set them up around the house, I was grateful that this is how we decorated for Christmas. Christmas truly is about Christ and I am grateful that is a focus in our decorating for the holiday. When it comes down to it, presents don't really matter all that much. I am just grateful for Jesus Christ. I am grateful that He was born of Mary in Bethlehem. I am grateful that he lived a perfect life filled with selfless service, always doing the will of the father. I am grateful for His example. I am grateful for his atonement, that I can repent in the areas where I fall short. Because of him I not only have peace and joy in this life and hope for an Eternal Life with my Father in Heaven.

I am so grateful for this Christmas season, for the opportunity I have to celebrate the birth of my Savior Jesus Christ. Without his birth into this world and his life and atonement I would be nothing. I am grateful not only for the opportunity that I get to celebrate this, but that I get to celebrate it with those I love most - my family and friends.

If I had one wish, it would not be for any gift, rather than spending time buying resents for me I hope that people will look around them and see who needs help serve them as Christ would if he was here.

I love you all! Don't stress too much about all the details of Christmas, SIMPLIFY and focus on the true reason for Christmas - Our Savior Jesus Christ.
